Job summary

Crouse Health in Syracuse, NY seeks an Epic Informaticist to bridge clinical practice, IT, and Epic teams. You will translate patient care needs into effective Epic workflows and support ongoing optimization, training, and end-user education to improve usability, safety, and efficiency.

You will engage in build validation, testing, and deployment activities, contributing to go-live readiness and post‑go‑live support while collaborating with clinical staff and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
• RN or LPN license in New York State.
• Experience supporting EHR workflows, testing, training, or end users.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with clinicians, staff and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design standardized Epic workflows with clinicians, leaders, and analysts.
• Validate Epic builds; develop and execute test scripts for various testing phases.
• Participate in Epic implementations, upgrades, go-live readiness, and deployment planning.
• Assist with downtime planning, business continuity, and system recovery validation.
• Validate Epic access for new hires and vendors; support training and onboarding.
• Provide end-user training, coaching, and knowledge sharing on Epic workflows.
• Create and maintain user documentation andKnown‑error guidance to support end users.
