Cape Fear Valley Health seeks a Clinical Informatics Specialist to support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing use of clinical information systems across the health system. You will act as a vital liaison between clinical end-users and Information Services & Technology, ensuring systems improve patient care and clinical workflows.

As a change agent, you will influence culture to enhance clinician satisfaction, transform patient care, and boost efficiency and usability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Allied Health or related clinical field.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina.
• Epic Clinical Informatics certification required or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
• 1 year of experience with clinical information systems (preferably Epic).
• 1 year of experience supporting system implementation, optimization, and/or training for clinical teams preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of clinical applications and how they support patient care.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to analyze workflows.
• Document clinical workflows, business requirements, analyze baseline data and derive actionable insights.
• Lead meetings and participate in workgroups to design workflows and develop decision support tools.
• Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, IT, and vendors.
• Assist in developing training materials and user guides for system users.
• Coach and support clinical users during go-lives and system changes.
• Deliver training across all phases of the application lifecycle.
