Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Epic MyChart specialist to support patient engagement and digital health services across a multi-facility health system. The role focuses on MyChart customization, testing, and reporting to optimize patient experience and care delivery.

You will collaborate with clinicians and IT teams to implement video visits, scheduling, and telehealth features while maintaining thorough testing plans and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a HS Diploma / GED.
• 5+ years of experience in building and implementing Epic MyChart.
• 5+ years of experience in supporting healthcare patient portal and patient engagement websites.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills.
• Implemented Video Visits and Video on Demand in MyChart with any Epic integrated video platform.
• Experience with Health Communication systems like WELL Health, Twilio, SpinSCi, TeleVox.
• Experience working in a multi-facility, multi-clinic healthcare organization.
• Experience customizing web applications and websites like MyChart.
• Ability to run queries to report on various metrics.
• Experience developing and monitoring testing scenarios and methodologies.
• Experience preparing and maintaining documentation on testing plans.
• Experience with Direct/Open scheduling, e-Check in, Patient Questionnaires, TeleHealth, MyChart mobile app, Result Release, or similar projects.
• Understanding of hospital and ambulatory operations and workflows, including patient portals and mobile devices.
• Ability to solve complex problems and exercise judgment based on multiple sources of information.
• Ability to interact effectively with peers, management, physician office staff, vendors, and other customers.
• Effective organization skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and commitment to excellence.
• Ability to hear and communicate clearly, understandably, and professionally.
• Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience participating in optimization projects including design, build, testing, and support.
• Self-starter; comfortable with ambiguity; able to make critical decisions.
• Ability to balance customer priorities and needs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for off-hours end-user support.
• Current Epic certification in Epic MyChart and Epic Ambulatory

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support for development and implementation of Patient Experience/Engagement and Digital programs.
• Help patients, clinicians, and healthcare team members engage with digital health services.
• Act as liaison supporting Atlantic Health System entities, administration, providers, and staff for digital health services.
• Stay abreast of new, available, and upcoming technologies and methodologies.
• Partner with Training team to create staff end-user training content.
• Proactively minimize service desk requests and improve efficiency.
• Build, implement, optimize, and support Epic MyChart.
• Run queries and report on various metrics.
• Develop and monitor testing scenarios and methodologies.
• Prepare and maintain testing-plan documentation.
• Participate in optimization projects covering design, build, testing, and support.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for off-hours end-user support.
