Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of professional fee coding experience.
• At least three years within assigned specialty service line.
• CPC or CCS-P certification is required.
• Experience in E/M coding and specialty-specific service lines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately evaluate and resolve coding edits in assigned work queues in Epic.
• Review medical record documentation and assign appropriate CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes and modifiers.
• Communicate coding/denial trends and provider education opportunities to coding leadership.
• Educate providers and coders within the department as needed.
• Perform quality assurance audits within the specialty team.
• Monitor coding workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Promote Intermountain Health values and adhere to service behavior standards.
