Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a skilled medical coder to accurately evaluate and resolve coding edits in Epic WQs, assign CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 codes and modifiers, and review documentation for accuracy. You'll work within Epic and Microsoft Office, supporting provider education and quality assurance efforts.

Candidates should have 5+ years in professional fee coding, CPC/CCS-P credentials, and Epic/PB Resolute experience. This role is based in West Valley City, Utah, with standard 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of pro fee coding experience with at least three (3) years within assigned specialty service line.
• Required CPC or CCS-P credential.
• Requires E/M coding experience for the assigned specialty service line.

Responsibilities

• Navigate Epic EMR and work queues effectively.
• Evaluate and resolve coding edits in Charge Review, Claim Edit, and Follow-up queues.
• Review documentation and assign CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes and modifiers.
• Evaluate coding bundling guidelines and modifier usage.
• Communicate coding/denial trends to leadership and providers via Epic in-basket and email.
