Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an experienced medical coder to accurately review and resolve coding edits in Epic WQs, assign CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 codes and modifiers, and ensure accurate documentation. You will navigate Epic EMR, review records, and provide education to providers while maintaining compliance with coding guidelines.

The role requires 5+ years of professional coding experience, CPC or CCS-P certification, and proficiency with Epic and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of pro fee coding experience with at least three (3) years within assigned specialty service line.
• CPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or CCS-P required.
• Requires E/M coding experience for the assigned specialty.
• Preferred Seven+ years of related coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and resolve coding edits in Epic WQs and assign CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes and modifiers.
• Navigate Epic EMR and related reports/work queues to ensure accurate coding.
• Review documentation and apply appropriate codes and modifiers.
• Communicate coding trends and provide provider education to leadership.
• Perform QA audits and ensure compliance with coding regulations.
