Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking an IT Specialty Analyst - Epic Inpatient to support, optimize, and advance Epic Inpatient clinical applications. You will partner with clinical leadership and frontline staff to ensure workflows support safe patient care and efficient operations.

The role involves testing, incident/change management, daily on-call support, and project coordination around Epic releases, with a fully remote work setup and a strong emphasis on collaboration across clinical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Healthcare, Nursing, Clinical Informatics, IT or related field.
• 3+ years Epic Inpatient experience with a Bachelor’s degree accepted.
• 5+ years Epic Inpatient experience without a Bachelor’s degree acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support and optimization of Epic Inpatient clinical applications, including builds, upgrades and enhancements.
• Analyze inpatient clinical/operational workflows to identify optimization opportunities.
• Partner with clinicians and leaders to translate needs into Epic Inpatient solutions.
• Develop and execute workflow assessments and system test plans for upgrades and patches.
• Manage incident, change, and problem management for inpatient systems.
• Provide daily on-call support for inpatient application issues.
• Communicate issues and enhancements clearly to stakeholders.
• Coordinate implementation or planning around software releases.
