Job summary

Sentara is seeking an IT Specialty Analyst – Epic Inpatient to support, optimize, and advance Epic Inpatient clinical applications. The role collaborates with nursing, physicians, and operations to ensure workflows promote patient safety and efficient care.

The ideal candidate has Epic Inpatient experience, clinical workflow knowledge, and strong testing/incident management skills. Remote work option is available with a competitive benefits package and market salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Clinical Informatics, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of Epic Inpatient experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years without a Bachelor’s degree will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support and optimization of Epic Inpatient clinical applications.
• Analyze inpatient clinical and operational workflows to identify optimization opportunities.
• Partner with clinicians and operational teams to translate needs into Epic solutions.
• Develop and execute system test plans for upgrades and enhancements.
• Manage incident and change processes for inpatient systems.
