Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking an Application Analyst and Developer specializing in Epic Inpatient. The role supports Epic Inpatient applications with emphasis on provider order entry, clinical workflows, and system builds in a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has clinical or Epic build experience, strong requirements analysis, and the ability to mentor peers. On-call rotation and collaboration with IT Care Delivery Applications team are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS, Business Admin, MIS or related field.
• 3+ years IT analysis, systems analysis, design experience.
• 1+ year developing, testing and implementing enhancements.
• Strong MS Office proficiency and documentation skills.
• Understanding of system architecture, integration concepts, and cross-team collaboration.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience leading medium-sized projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of multiple SDLC methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement application changes and enhancements.
• Lead design and documentation of complex modifications within Epic Inpatient framework.
• Provide technical guidance to IT Partners and other teams.
• Mentor developers and analysts to promote best practices.
• Support IT testing, end-user training, and deployment activities.
• Maintain documentation and respond to audits and third-party requests.
• Collaborate with vendors on integration and upgrades.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for designated areas.
