The role emphasizes testing, documentation, and collaboration with Revenue Cycle operations and IT teams. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, with 3+ years of IT/Revenue Cycle experience (or 5+ without a degree).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT, Revenue Cycle, Hospital Billing or related application support experience required with a degree
• 5+ years of IT, Revenue Cycle, Hospital Billing or related application support experience required without a degree
• Epic Hospital Billing, or related application support experience is Strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and technical aptitude required

Responsibilities

• Analyze application issues and workflows to identify root causes and appropriate solutions
• Develop an understanding of Epic master files, records, configuration, and the relationships between different components of the system
• Evaluate upstream and downstream impacts of configuration changes before implementing solutions
• Support and learn core Epic Hospital Billing workflows, including workqueues, DNBs, billing workflows, system actions, letters, and related Revenue Cycle functionality
• Translate operational needs into technical requirements and sustainable system solutions
• Troubleshoot issues by examining configuration, workflow, data, and system behavior rather than addressing symptoms alone
• Test and validate application changes to ensure expected outcomes and minimize unintended downstream impacts
• Partner with Revenue Cycle operations and other IT teams to understand end-to-end workflows
• Maintain application documentation and follow established change management and governance processes
• Continuously develop knowledge of Epic Hospital Billing and broader Revenue Cycle workflows
