Job summary

Eskenazi Health is seeking a HIM Data Integrity Specialist to ensure chart accuracy across Epic and related systems. The role focuses on identifying, assessing, and resolving data integrity issues, coordinating with billing, PAS, clinical departments, and Pharmacy to complete corrections.

The position requires a high school diploma and a preference for RHIT/RHIA certification, with experience in health information management and EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years experience in Health Information Management preferred.
• RHIT or RHIA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works daily in Epic queues: Potential Duplicates, Patient Overlay, Chart Corrections, and more.
• Performs daily error corrections including note move and copy functions.
• Performs daily document imaging corrections in OnBase.
• Creates chart correction cases in EPIC, completes tasks/assigns tasks to appropriate teams, and closes the case once completed.
• Participates in the on-call 24/7 support coverage for emergent in-house and emergency department chart corrections.
• Coordinates with IS teams to review, test, and implement new functionality for the EHR.
