Job summary

CHI Health Lakeside is seeking an HIM Specialist Sr to maintain patient health records across the chart lifecycle, ensuring data integrity and HIPAA compliance in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will handle imaging, chart analysis, ROI requests, and record completion workflows, while meeting productivity and quality standards. RHIT/RHIA preferred; 2+ years HIM experience in acute care is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required at hire.
• 1-3 years of Health Information Management experience in an acute care or healthcare setting or progress toward RHIT/RHIA.
• Experience with EMR systems and HIM applications required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain integrity, accuracy, and availability of patient health records throughout the lifecycle.
• Support release of information (ROI) requests and record completion workflows.
• Reconcile rejected orders and ensure adherence to productivity and quality standards.
• Assist providers and stakeholders in a fast-paced hospital environment while complying with HIPAA requirements.
