Job summary

UMC Health System is seeking an IT Application Analyst to support Epic and 3rd party applications across departments. You will implement, configure, test, and optimize systems while collaborating with IT teams and end users to deliver cohesive solutions.

The role emphasizes workflow design, testing, incident resolution, and on-call coverage, with a focus on healthcare operations and patient care excellence. Bachelor's is recommended;Epic certification within six months is required.

Qualifications

Experience with Epic EHR preferred.
Certification in Epic within six (6) months of hire and within two (2) attempts.
Bachelor’s degree highly recommended.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and test Epic and 3rd party applications for implementation, optimization, and ongoing support.
Performs comprehensive testing for designated applications, including testing progress documentation and issue resolution.
Facilitate workflow design and validation with end users.
Assess and document workflows by interviewing/shadowing users.
Determine areas for improvement and optimize workflows for existing applications.
Follows process methodologies for software support and maintenance to ensure data integrity.
Complete assigned tasks per defined project scope, timelines, and budgets for implementations.
Coordinate installation of application changes following change control processes.
Assess incoming incidents and resolve issues or escalate as needed.
Utilize standard processes to ensure SLA compliance.
Participate in on-call coverage responsibilities.
