Job summary

Baton Rouge General Medical Center is seeking an Epic Project Manager to lead enterprise Epic implementation efforts. You will coordinate clinical and IT teams, Epic consultants, and vendors to ensure a successful transition to Epic and sustained operational readiness.

The role requires strong collaboration, change management, and governance skills, with on-site engagement across implementation milestones in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale EHR/Epic implementations in acute care settings.
• Strong understanding of hospital clinical and operational workflows.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-year, multi-module enterprise projects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Epic implementation lifecycle: planning, design, build, testing, training, go-live and stabilization.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies for multiple Epic modules.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including clinical leaders, IT analysts, trainers, and Epic consultants.
• Manage vendor relationships, including Epic and third-party partners, and escalate risks to leadership.
• Define project scope, assess risks, and ensure regulatory and security compliance.
• Drive change management with communication, training readiness, and adoption strategies.
• Oversee testing, user acceptance, go-live activities and post-go-live stabilization.
