Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Credentialed Trainer (CT) to deliver end-user training and go-live support for a specific Epic module. Reporting to the EPIC Training Manager and Project Director, the role involves developing curricula, preparing training environments, and serving as the primary Brown University Health trainer for end users.

Candidates should have a clinical background, a bachelor’s degree, and demonstrated ability to teach in classroom, group, and one-on-one settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Clinical background preferred; e.g., Pharmacist, RN, HIM, Laboratory, Radiology, Case Management.
• Experience in clinical systems and/or teaching background is preferred; strong adult education skills.
• Ability to teach in classroom, group, and one-on-one settings.
• Desire to present material clearly while managing the class.
• Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal skills; effective communication.
• Works well in a fast-paced, high-pressure healthcare education environment.
• Strong organizational skills; customer service and computer proficiency.
• Able to work independently and resolve conflicts when needed.

Responsibilities

• Delivers training to end users and provides go-live and post-go live support for a defined period.
• Acts as first line of defense for continued Brown University Health championing and end user support.
• Completes the credentialing process and masters Epic applications and workflows.
• Collaborates with the Principal Trainer to prepare curriculum and the Epic training environment, including pilot training as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
