Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Epic EHR Development Lead to drive design, configuration, development, and optimization of Epic solutions across clinical, operational, and revenue cycle domains. You will provide technical and functional leadership for Epic development and integrations to improve patient care and clinician efficiency.

You will mentor teams, align work with organizational strategy, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while guiding upgrades, testing, and rollout activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IS/Healthcare Informatics/CS (or equivalent).
• 7+ years of Epic EHR experience, including hands-on build.
• 3+ years in a lead/supervisory role supporting Epic systems.
• Active Epic certification(s) in one or more Epic modules.
• Strong understanding of healthcare clinical workflows and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Epic analysts, developers, and configuration teams across assigned modules.
• Serve as the primary technical and functional escalation point for Epic-related development issues.
• Define and enforce Epic development standards, build guidelines, and governance processes.
• Partner with Informatics, Clinical Leadership, and IT leadership to align Epic development with organizational strategy.
• Contribute to Epic roadmap planning, optimization initiatives, and system upgrades.
• Oversee Epic application build, configuration, and customization across modules (ClinDoc, Orders, Cadence, etc.).
• Guide development of Epic integrations (HL7, FHIR, Bridges, APIs) and data exchange.
• Review design specs, build docs, and change requests; lead complex Epic enhancements.
• Translate clinical needs into technical Epic solutions; support go-lives and optimization.
