Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks an experienced Epic specialist to lead the Epic EHR platform across an enterprise environment. You will oversee build, configuration, testing, upgrades, and release cycles using Sherlock, Nova, and Orion to ensure a reliable, scalable Epic experience for clinicians and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of leadership or 3 years Epic applications experience.
• Experience in Epic-based large hospitals or IDNs and understanding of clinical operations.
• Program and large-scale project management and upgrade facilitation experience.
• Ability to plan, develop, and implement integrated systems architecture.
• Ability to coach and mentor team members.
• EPIC Certification - Epic Systems.

Responsibilities

• Guide teams in supporting, optimizing, and maintaining Epic and other applications.
• Lead design, configuration, and implementation of Epic enhancements and upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve reliability.
• Utilize Epic vendor tools (Sherlock, Nova, Orion) to coordinate efforts.
• Influence technical direction while aligning with IS&T priorities and strategic plans.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to analysts on scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Establish and maintain standards for integration design, documentation, and lifecycle management.
• Oversee vendor management, implementations, and maintenance processes.
