Job summary

Optum is seeking a Technical Project Manager with hands-on Epic Healthy Planet integration experience to lead Epic project implementations and upgrades. You will manage cross-functional teams, design workflows, and ensure quality across testing and deployment, with remote work flexibility within the U.S. and required in-office presence for Minneapolis or Washington, D.C.

Qualifications

• Active Epic certification in Healthy Planet and at least one additional application (Ambulatory, Care Everywhere, EpicCare Link or MyChart).
• 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry.
• 4+ years of experience with Epic implementation and/or support.
• 3+ years of direct client-facing experience with healthcare workflows such as clinical documentation, patient portals, encounter closure, and patient flow management.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise in Epic Healthy Planet including design, build, testing, and implementation.
• Collaborate with leadership and end users to design and configure solutions, including workflow analysis and application configuration for enhancements and issue resolution.
• Lead multiple Epic upgrade initiatives and workflow enhancements through all project phases.
• Lead design and validation sessions with thorough documentation and issue escalation.
• Maintain system documentation and build records.
• Monitor production applications and respond to incidents, including 24/7 on-call support as needed.
• Execute all testing phases for EpicCare Ambulatory workflows.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and manage updates, enhancements, and release testing.
