Job summary

UMC Health System is seeking an IT Application Analyst (Epic) for the Epic Team. The role involves designing, implementing, and supporting Epic and 3rd party applications across departments, working with stakeholders to meet clinical and operational needs.

This position supports Epic workflows, participates in testing, and helps optimize processes while ensuring change control and SLA adherence in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years recent experience in IT, healthcare, EHR development, and/or implementation
• Experience with Epic EHR preferred
• Ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders
• Knowledge of healthcare operations, workflows, policies, and regulations

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test Epic and 3rd party applications for implementation, optimization, and ongoing support.
• Perform comprehensive testing for all designated applications, including documentation and issue resolution.
• Facilitate workflow design and validation in collaboration with end users.
• Assess and document workflows for assigned applications by interviewing/shadowing users.
• Recommend technology solutions to improve clinical and operational processes.
• Coordinate installation of application changes following change control processes.
• Assist in incident assessment and escalation; ensure SLA compliance and on-call coverage.
