Job summary

UMC Health System in Texas seeks an IT Application Analyst (Epic Ambulatory/Rehab) to design, build, test, and support Epic and third‑party applications for implementation and optimization in a hybrid environment.

RN license to practice professional nursing in Texas is required. You will collaborate with IT teams and clinical staff to validate workflows, document requirements, and ensure integration with existing systems while maintaining SLA and change control processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s highly recommended.
• Minimum of two years in IT, healthcare, EHR development or implementation.
• Experience with Epic EHR preferred.
• Certification in the assigned Epic Application within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test Epic and 3rd party applications for implementation and optimization.
• Perform comprehensive testing and document progress, resolve issues.
• Facilitate workflow design with end users and validate processes.
• Coordinate installation of application changes following change control.
• Provide on-call coverage and respond to incidents.
