Job summary

UCSF Health in San Francisco seeks an APeX Cadence Analyst to support Epic Cadence, Referrals and Authorizations, and MyChart scheduling workflows. The role reports to the APeX Cadence Team Lead and the Patient Access Applications Manager, applying clinical IT concepts to projects with defined scope.

Epic Cadence certification is required; Referrals & Authorizations and MyChart certifications must be achieved within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area.
  • Two years of relevant work experience.
  • Epic Cadence certification.
  • Referrals and Authorizations certification to be achieved within 12 months of hire.
  • MyChart certification to be achieved within 12 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of clinical applications systems, development, testing and user support.
  • Strong problem-solving and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to train and support clinical providers and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Support Epic Cadence, Referrals, Authorizations and MyChart workflows.
  • Apply professional clinical applications concepts to small–to–medium projects.
  • Collaborate with senior staff and managers as a technical resource.
  • Ensure testing, documentation and performance improvements are carried out.
