Job summary

The APeX Cadence Analyst at University of California, San Francisco Health IT supports Epic Cadence, Referrals and Authorizations, and MyChart Scheduling workflows. The role applies clinical IT concepts to moderate projects and operates independently within a defined scope, reporting to the APeX Cadence Team Lead and the Patient Access Applications Manager.

Epic Cadence certification is required; Referrals and Authorizations and MyChart certifications must be achieved within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health care IT, computer science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Two years of relevant work experience.
• Epic Cadence certification.
• Referrals and Authorizations certification within 12 months of hire.
• MyChart certification within 12 months of hire.
• Knowledge of clinical applications systems, development, implementation, support, testing, and evaluation.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey technical info clearly.
• Ability to work with senior staff as a technical resource.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, debugs and evaluates moderately complex clinical software and systems.
• Collaborates to analyze clinical workflows and define integrated clinical technology solutions.
• Works with users to implement releases and upgrades; defines scope and requirements.
• Participates in projects of moderate scope; performs analysis, planning, coding, testing and coordination.
• Contributes to user training and develops training tools.
• Documents requests; confirms scope and requirements for initiatives.
