Job summary

Medix Technology is seeking a Lab Operations Coordinator for a long-term contract to support an Epic Beaker implementation across an academic medical network. The role serves as a liaison to translate operational processes and ensure readiness of the laboratories involved.

Candidates should have 5+ years in Clinical or Anatomic Lab settings and hands-on Epic Beaker experience, with trainer-level knowledge of Epic Beaker and Pathology Applications; remote work from EST hours and travel under 10%

Qualifications

5+ years experience in a Clinical or Anatomic Lab.
Prior experience on an Epic Beaker implementation project.
Super-user or trainer-level knowledge of Epic Beaker and Pathology Applications.

Responsibilities

Serve as liaison between the Epic Beaker Analyst team and Lab locations during implementation.
Organize timelines and communicate complexities before, during and after go-live.
Drive cross-functional communication between laboratory managers, technical analysts, and external vendors.
Translate complex laboratory processes into standardized operating procedures.
Address Epic Beaker requirements and drive readiness from the start.
Facilitate operational laboratory tasks during the Epic implementation.
Update and maintain standard operating procedures.
Help labs organize staffing and shifts and plan for major testing events.
Coordinate pre-work checklists, testing validation, and end-user training.
