Job summary

University of Miami Information Technology & Systems Department seeks an Epic Analyst, Research to assist on the team and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize configuration, function, and access. The role supports day-to-day Epic issues and application improvements within a healthcare setting.

Core duties include end-user support, issue resolution, testing, and documentation. A strong background in Epic build and research tools is expected, with on-call rotations and committee participation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Epic Certification or proficiency in at least one module required within 6 months of employment.
• Minimum 3 years of healthcare or healthcare-related experience.
• 1-2 years of Epic build experience.
• Experience with BPAs, Epic documentation tools, or Epic Reporting tools preferred.
• Understanding of clinical research or research billing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a support contact for application end-users.
• Identifies issues and works to resolve them.
• Designs, develops, implements, and maintains the application.
• Supports all phases of testing and documents workflow design.
• Performs analysis of IT in clinical work processes and validates workflow impacts.
• Provides day-to-day application support and resolves service tickets.
• Collaborates with trainers on changes and new features to develop training.
• Participates in on-call rotations and supports committees.
• Maintains regular communication with team and participates in project meetings.
• Becomes knowledgeable about UHealth policies and safeguards assets.
• Leads and trains others as needed.
