Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking an experienced Epic Analyst certified in Healthy Planet to support the upcoming Epic go-live in Fall 2027. The role is primarily remote, with monthly travel to the DC/MD area and training travel as needed.

You will serve as an SME, drive Epic projects, and ensure system performance, data integrity, and workflow improvements across clinical, operational, and technical teams. Responsibilities include leading implementations, coordinating testing, and developing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
5 years technical experience preferred in healthcare or business environment.
EPIC Certification in Healthy Planet required; VBA certification, SDOH Badge, Data Courier Badge preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert for Epic applications, providing advanced support and guidance to users and IS teams.
Lead and support Epic projects, enhancements, upgrades, and implementations, including requirements gathering and testing.
Monitor application performance, data integrity, and infrastructure needs to ensure reliability and continuity of service.
Analyze business processes with clinical, operational, and technical teams to improve workflows and accuracy.
Coordinate software testing, maintenance, integration, and issue resolution with vendors and cross-functional teams.
Develop and maintain documentation, support procedures, test plans, and project deliverables.
Provide application training and mentor colleagues for effective Epic use.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and recommend enhancements for organizational needs.
On-call support including evenings, weekends, and holidays; 24x7 availability as needed.
