Job summary

The Ambulatory EHR Project Manager leads the planning and deployment of the Hospital and Clinics Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR), including both practice management and EHR, to outpatient clinical areas such as new health system sites, University Healthcare Alliance (UHA) medical foundation practice locations, affiliated independent physician practices, and employer-based clinics.

Responsibilities include directing matrixed analysts, managing timelines and budgets, Lean process improvements,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive, related work experience.
  • Healthcare IT project management in health system.
  • Epic project management experience preferred.
  • Process improvement experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage a team of analysts for ambulatory Epic build and interfaces.
  • Oversee day-to-day project management and successful EHR deployment.
  • Interface with UHA, employers, and partners to plan implementations.
  • Apply Lean methods to standardize implementation practices.
  • Lead steering committee meetings and communicate progress and risks.
  • Maintain project documentation including goals, timelines, deliverables.
  • Manage multiple large-scale projects end-to-end.
  • Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and high customer satisfaction.
