Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support the EPC Project Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations from pre-construction through completion and warranty. You will lead safety, quality, schedule, cost control, and subcontractor management for EPC or Design-Build projects from Wallingford, CT.

Responsibilities include client relations, risk reviews, contract negotiations, and developing staffing and procurement plans while coordinating with multiple disciplines

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field and 7 years PM experience.
• Applicable experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience on EPC or Design-Build projects in energy or transmission & distribution preferred.
• Basic understanding of GAAP.
• Must meet driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and successful execution of one or more projects.
• Provide direction in planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and objectives.
• Develop client relationships for proposals and project items.
• Review reports including budgeting, cash flow, and project status reports.
• Manage subcontractors across disciplines and ensure safety, quality, and schedule.
• Coordinate with engineering for deliverables per schedule.
• Develop and implement project staffing, procurement, and risk plans.
• Assist in project turnover, warranty administration, and closeout.
