Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Construction Coordinator to support EPC project execution across multiple industries, including aviation and power. The role focuses on project controls, procurement, and documentation, with responsibilities spanning safety, quality, cost management, and client interface.

You will assist with RFP development, subcontracting, and turnover, coordinating with the project team to ensure schedules and budgets are maintained while complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or a related field required.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
• Knowledge of document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, proposals, estimates, documentation, turnover, client interface, and field-based activities.
• Assist with developing and implementing project plans including Execution, QA, Safety, Subcontracting, Staffing, Organization, and Procurement.
• Coordinate with bidders on registration and pre-qualification for the Project Management team.
• Administer RFP package development, bid and selection process, and develop scope of work for downstream contracts.
• Support project controls: cost reporting, scheduling, WBS, project setup and closeout in accounting system, field progress tracking.
• Develop internal and external reports including budgeting, cost reports, cash flow forecast, and status reports.
• Participate in project, corporate, and risk review meetings; record and distribute minutes.
• Conduct project safety, quality, progress and financial audits and assessments.
• Assist with invoicing, documentation, and turnover.
• Maintain project documentation and filing systems.
