Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Field Construction Manager in the US to support EPC projects across aviation, commercial, power, oil & gas, and more. You will assist with safety, quality, scheduling, cost control, contracts, procurement, and documentation at field sites.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, or equivalent experience, plus strong organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field required; experience may substitute for the degree.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
• Knowledge of document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, proposals, estimates, documentation, turnover, client interface, and field activities.
• Build client relationships and interface with clients for proposals and project items.
• Assist project management with prime contracts, downstream contracts, and change orders.
• Develop and implement project execution plans, QA plans, Safety & Health plan, Subcontracting Plan, and staffing plans.
• Assist with jobsite setup, mobilization and demobilization.
• Coordinate permit acquisition and pre-qualification efforts for bidders.
• Assist with RFP package development, bid process, and scope of work for downstream contracts.
• Support contract administration including RFIs, submittals, change management, and claims mitigation.
• Contribute to project controls: cost reporting, scheduling, WBS, setup and closeout in accounting systems, field progress tracking.
• Prepare internal/external reports: budgets, cost reports, cash flow, status reports.
