Job summary

American Electric Power is seeking a Project Manager to lead EPC and Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) projects in Tulsa, OK. You will coordinate project activities, manage plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while driving value and customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and collaboration with internal/external stakeholders, vendors, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, PM, CS or related field w/ 3 years experience; OR an Associate’s with 5 years; OR HS diploma with 7 years experience.
• Three years as PROJECT MANAGER ASSOCIATE (Grade 6) preferred; or demonstrated competency with similar results.
• Experience in outages, cost estimating, contracts, controls, and safety; knowledge of safety, scope, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate project activities; act when lead PM unavailable.
• Lead planning meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, tools, and staff.
• Coach and develop team members in project management skills.
• Develop procurement plans and manage outside contracts/vendors.
