Job summary
APTIM is seeking a skilled Commercial Appliance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, service and repair of commercial food service equipment in a Fort Irwin, California environment. You will work with gas and electric stoves, ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and related equipment, following manufacturer wiring diagrams and safety regulations.
Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 4 years of relevant experience, EPA Type 1
Qualifications
- Must read, write and speak fluent English.
- Four (4) years’ experience in maintenance/repair of commercial and industrial appliances.
- Ability to follow manufacturers’ specifications and SDS/M.S.D.S.
- EPA and AQMD regulations experience or compliance.
- Must possess valid California Driver’s License and EPA Type 1 certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair of commercial appliances.
- Troubleshoot to determine extent of repairs required.
- Disassemble, reassemble and replace defective parts and wiring.
- Order and verify repair parts; document work orders and time.
- Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations.
- Interact with customers to identify requirements and complete service orders.
