Job summary

City of St. Louis Emergency Management Agency seeks an Emergency Management Specialist (CEMA) - Logistics to coordinate resource management and logistics with city departments, regional partners, vendors, and volunteer organizations. This role serves as the primary logistics contact during steady-state operations and as Logistics Section Chief during EOC activations.

The position requires 24/7/365 availability, downtown St. Louis location, and full-time permanent status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• FEMA ICS training or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in emergency logistics, procurement or vendor coordination is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with City departments, regional partners, vendors, and volunteers on resource management and logistics.
• Serve as primary logistics contact during steady-state operations and as Logistics Section Chief during EOC activations.
• Maintain inventory and tracking of resources, per NIMS/EMAP guidance, and support mutual aid deployments.
• Oversee warehouse operations, fleet readiness, and deployment checklists for emergency responses.
