Job summary

City of St. Louis—Emergency Management Specialist (Airport) is based at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. The role coordinates Airport-wide emergency response planning and operates within the Airport Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

You will design and run drills, coordinate with mutual aid partners, train staff on emergency procedures, and assist with Safety Management System (SMS) issues, while complying with FAA and local requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus two years of professional emergency management or related experience.
• IS-100, IS-200, and IS-700 completed at appointment.
• Experience designing and delivering emergency training and exercises.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Airport-wide emergency response planning and EOC operations.
• Design and conduct Airport tabletops, functional exercises, and full-scale drills.
• Provide emergency training with mutual aid and Airport partners.
• Assist and investigate SMS-related issues and coordinate with safety programs.
• Coordinate training with SEMA, FEMA, and other agencies.
