Job summary

The State of Missouri is seeking a disaster coordination leader to supervise the Emergency Support Function (ESF) #3 team within Public Works and Engineering. You will coordinate responders for the State Emergency Operation Center during declared emergencies and participate in disaster exercises and training.

You will also liaison with Recovery Support Function #6, attend SEMA regional meetings, and serve as COOP/COG coordinator.

Qualifications

• Hazardous materials knowledge, handling and safety principles.
• Incident management principles and crisis response.
• Project management skills for coordinating resources and timelines.
• Technical competence in applying scientific knowledge to environmental incidents.

Responsibilities

• Lead ESF #3 (Public Works & Engineering) coordination and supervision of responders for the State Emergency Operation Center during emergencies.
• Serve as RSF #6 liaison within the Missouri Disaster Recovery Framework and coordinate with multiple agencies.
• Represent the department at SEMA Regional Coordination meetings and HSAC voting sessions.
• Act as a COOP/COG coordinator, providing on-scene response and supervising cleanup contractors as needed.
• Attend local emergency planning and regional homeland security meetings and communicate incident details to management.
