Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Risk Specialist I to drive regulated waste compliance across multiple sites within California and beyond. You will execute environmental plans, maintain hazardous waste records, and surface gaps through regular program controls.

The role requires interpreting RCRA, DOT, and state rules, plus data-driven actions to close gaps and meet milestones. Significant cross-team collaboration and up to 50% travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field required.
• 2+ years in environmental compliance, regulated waste, or risk investigations.
• Experience interpreting environmental regulations (RCRA, DOT, state rules).
• Experience collecting and analyzing data to identify compliance gaps.

Responsibilities

• Own regulated waste compliance projects and activities across sites.
• Conduct audits and site inspections to monitor thresholds and take corrective actions.
• Collaborate with site teams to clarify requirements and drive consensus.
• Identify process improvements to reduce risk and improve conformance.
• Prepare clear documentation and status reports for stakeholders.
• Travel up to 50%.
