Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Risk Specialist I to drive regulated waste compliance across multiple sites in California. You will execute environmental compliance plans, conduct site inspections, and surface gaps through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement.

The role requires clear communication with site leadership, operations, and legal stakeholders, with travel up to 50%. A strong background in RCRA/DOT regulations and environmental data analysis is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in environmental compliance, regulated waste management, or workplace risk investigations.
• Experience interpreting and applying environmental regulations (RCRA, DOT, state hazardous waste rules).
• Experience collecting and analyzing data to identify compliance gaps and drive corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Own the execution and delivery of regulated waste compliance projects across the sites you support.
• Apply risk management methods such as audits and site inspections to monitor compliance thresholds.
• Collaborate with site teams and partners to drive discussions and build consensus.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce risk and improve conformance.
• Prepare clear documentation and reports for stakeholders.
• Travel up to 50% of the time.
