Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is recruiting for an Environmental Technician II to support waste management activities at our Tacoma site. The role involves treating and processing inbound waste streams, performing related paperwork, and operating equipment like hi-lo and loaders to maintain safe, compliant operations.

The position requires hands-on experience with hazardous materials, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work outdoors and indoors as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior experience working with hazardous materials.
• Ability to operate equipment including a forklift and pallet jack.
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled areas.

Responsibilities

• Complete required paperwork in accordance with practices and procedures.
• Collect samples of inbound waste for compatibility.
• Unload bulk liquid trucks to proper tank.
• Resolve and report issues with inbound loads; operate hi-lo and end loaders safely.
• Know waste streams and their treatment protocols.
