Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a hazardous waste operations specialist to deliver compliant environmental services at client facilities. You will handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks, coordinate with customers, and ensure accurate DOT/EPA documentation while meeting safety standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s in Environmental Science or related field, 2–4 years of experience, and the ability to travel locally. OSHA Hazwoper training and CDL are preferred assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related discipline.
• 2–4 years of industry experience and customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional image with clients and propose solutions to issues.
• Manage onsite hazardous and non-hazardous waste needs per contract.
• Comply with all environmental, health, and safety policies.
• Ensure completion of US DOT/EPA paperwork to expedite disposal of hazardous waste.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely to complete projects timely.
• Travel within a 90-minute radius of Raleigh to various job sites.
