Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking an Environmental Technician to consolidate, treat, store, pack, transport and/or dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with environmental regulations. You will maintain detailed records and support inventory management.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 pounds, stand on uneven surfaces, and wear PPE. Work may be outdoors in all conditions and may include night or weekend hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to stand and walk on uneven surfaces for long periods.
• Vision to read labels; depth perception for forklifts.
• Must wear PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek, respirator.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store, pack, transport and/or dispose of hazardous waste per regulations.
• Maintain detailed, accurate records.
• Segregate and package material for transport.
• Assist in inventory and storage of hazardous materials.
• Operate fork trucks and move containers to storage/treatment areas and load/unload trailers.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
