Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC seeks an Environmental Technician II to support waste treatment and inbound waste streams at our Providence, RI site. You will operate equipment, perform sampling, and complete required documentation in accordance with Veolia's practices.

This role requires outdoor work, safety PPE, and willingness to work a flexible schedule. Key responsibilities include unloading trucks, addressing issues with inbound loads, operating hi-lo and loaders, and understanding waste streams

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior experience working with hazardous materials.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate equipment including forklift and pallet jack.
• Visual acuity to read labels and documentation; depth perception to safely drive forklifts.
• Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions.

Responsibilities

• Complete required paperwork in accordance with Veolia practices and procedures.
• Collect samples of inbound waste for compatibility.
• Unload bulk liquid trucks to proper tank.
• Resolve and report issues with inbound loads.
• Operate hi-lo and end loaders in a safe manner.
• Have knowledge of our waste streams and their treatment protocol.
