Job summary

Veolia is seeking Environmental Technicians to join a team tasked with handling hazardous waste in accordance with all applicable regulations and safety policies. The role involves physical work, operating a forklift, and completing detailed documentation.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 pounds, and comfort working outdoors in varying conditions. Training and safety equipment will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Able to stand and walk on uneven surfaces for long periods.
• Visual acuity to read labels and depth perception to operate forklifts.
• Willingness to wear PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store, transport and dispose of hazardous waste per regulations and procedures.
• Operate forklift and other equipment to move containers to and from storage and treatment areas and to load/unload trailers.
• Complete required documentation accurately, timely and legibly.
