Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking an Environmental Technician to join the team responsible for the safe handling, treatment, storage, transport and disposal of hazardous waste. You will follow environmentally responsible practices and complete documentation accurately.

This role requires physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or walking on uneven surfaces, and wearing mandated PPE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Comfort working outdoors in all climates.
• Forklift operation and safety awareness preferred.
• Basic reading of labels and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store, transport, and dispose of hazardous waste in compliance with regulations.
• Operate forklift to move containers to storage and treatment areas and load/unload trailers.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Wear PPE and follow safety procedures at all times.
• Work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled spaces.
