Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking an Environmental Technician to join a dedicated team focused on hazardous waste management and regulatory compliance. This role involves physically demanding work, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating a forklift while following safety policies.

You will complete accurate documentation and assist with consolidation, treatment, storage, and transport of waste, collaborating with the operations team to ensure eco-friendly practices across projects.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
• Read labels and documentation; depth perception to drive forklifts.
• Work outdoors in all climates and indoors in non-climate-controlled areas.
• Wear PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, respirator.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store, transport and/or dispose of hazardous waste in compliance with procedures.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to move containers between storage, treatment areas and trailers.
