Job summary

Veolia, partnering with Clean Earth, seeks an Environmental Technician to join its North American operations. The role involves consolidating, treating, storing, transporting and disposing of hazardous waste in a compliant manner.

You will perform physically demanding tasks, operate a forklift, and load/unload trailers while maintaining accurate documentation. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to work outdoors and indoors, with PPE

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
• Read labels and documentation; depth perception for forklifts.
• Hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms.
• Work outdoors in all climates and indoors in non-climate-controlled spaces.
• Wears PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store, transport and dispose of hazardous waste per regulations.
• Operate forklift and move containers to and from storage and treatment areas.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Load/unload trailers and assist with site duties as needed.
