Job summary

BB&E is seeking an Environmental Site Lead for NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The on-site leader will plan, coordinate, and direct environmental compliance activities, focusing on hazardous waste management and regulatory compliance under 40 CFR parts 61, 260–279, and 761.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of site lead experience, waste management expertise, and a track record with federal/state regulations.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Strong ability to pass a federal agency background check.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning, coordination, technical direction and surveillance of the program team to ensure timely resources and deliverables for the PWS.
• Oversee waste management across regulated and hazardous waste streams in accordance with CFRs.
• Lead and mentor staff, manage subcontracts, and coordinate with NASA and regulators.
• Ensure environmental compliance and prepare required deliverables (CDRLs) for the program at NASA Glenn Research Center.
• Support safety, reports, and monthly technical documentation.
