Job summary

BB&E is seeking a dynamic Environmental Site Lead for NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The on-site Lead will plan, coordinate, and supervise the environmental program team to ensure timely resources and compliant performance under the PWS, including hazardous waste management across multiple streams and regulatory regimes.

The role requires SME-level waste management expertise, federal/state regulatory experience, and ability to remotely manage activities at varied sites while mentoring

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to pass a federal agency background check.
• Strong communication and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Self-starter with problem-solving ability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensure environmental technical expertise and support services are obtained, directed, and managed to complete the PWS and deliver CDRLs.
• Manage all project elements including staff, subcontractors, vendors, and relationships with NASA and regulators.
• Organize and execute project work with appropriate delegation.
• Lead project teams and demonstrate SME skills to support private and government sectors.
• Lead, mentor, and train junior staff, providing direction and strategy.
