Qualifications

• Associates’ degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience in environmental services.
• Ability to read and interpret rules and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Strong mathematical skills for measurements and percentages.
• Knowledge of infection control techniques.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all environmental service operations to ensure a clean, safe facility.
• Make administrative decisions on hiring, training, and assignments.
• Develop systems to maximize housekeeping effectiveness.
• Perform regular inspections to maintain safety and sanitation.
• Oversee purchases of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Maintain records and reports per policies.
• Adhere to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Participate in disaster planning and drills.
• Approve outside contracts via Administrator.
• Follow and update the master cleaning plan.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide counseling as needed.
• Manage inventory and central supply orders.
• Coordinate purchase orders to Accounts Payable.
• Receive, inspect, and decontaminate equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
