Job summary

APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC is seeking an Environmental Scientist for a full-time role in the Seattle, WA area to support RCRA and state hazardous waste compliance, auditing programs, and related environmental media.

The position is 50% office and 50% field, involves data collection, regulatory reporting, and fieldwork with travel to client facilities, requiring independent work and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field.
• 3-4 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office; ability to learn other software.
• Willingness to travel for field work.
• Knowledge of RCRA and state hazardous waste regulations.
• Experience with environmental compliance and auditing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executing and managing various work scopes, while meeting project schedules and budgets.
• Collection and interpretation/evaluation of scientific data.
• Executing field work within project schedule and budgetary goals.
• Use various environmental databases and software to research project/site requirements and document the results in a technical report.
• Work independently and as part of a project team and be able to adjust to changing conditions or client requirements.
• Adheres to established health and safety policies and procedures and executes work in a safe and conscientious manner.
• Understand technical concepts, evaluation results, plans, reports, and ensures conformance to applicable technical standards.
• Draft technical documents for regulatory agencies and private clients.
• Communications with regulatory agencies.
• Time management to ensure a quality product is prepared to meet project deadlines.
• Applying knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations.
