Job summary

Avam Sciences is expanding its Environmental team and seeks a Business Development Representative to identify customers, initiate conversations, and build qualified opportunities.

As BDR for Environmental, you will target laboratories, utilities, and industrial customers, handling prospecting, initial qualification, and handoffs to the Account Executive, with growth potential into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales development or inside sales, preferably with laboratory products or environmental markets.
• Ability to research organizations and identify relevant contacts for outreach.
• Strong communication skills and a clear interest in commercial work.
• Curiosity about environmental testing and the role of laboratory analysis.
• Organizational discipline to manage multiple accounts and follow-ups.

Responsibilities

• Identify target accounts in environmental testing labs, utilities, and industrial facilities.
• Execute personalized outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
• Qualify prospects based on testing needs, purchasing processes, and timing.
• Coordinate handoffs to Account Executive with account research and notes.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and next steps.
• Collaborate with marketing and scientific teams to refine outreach.
