Job summary

Ambipar is seeking a dependable Technician to operate and maintain equipment, manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste, collect samples, and assist in site remediation and emergency response. The role requires strict safety adherence, physical endurance, and flexibility for overtime or emergencies.

Prior experience is preferred, with training offered to the right candidate. Reports to a Supervisor; on-site, full-time, non-exempt, hourly pay, with compensation commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certifications for confined space entry and hazardous material handling.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers, regulators, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Perform industrial cleaning, site remediation, spill clean-ups, maintenance, and confined space entry in accordance with safety standards.
• Safely operate and maintain equipment and vehicles, including vacuum trucks and hydro excavation rigs.
• Load/unload drums, totes, containers, and equipment from vehicles and job sites.
• Handle, package, label, transport, and document hazardous materials and waste per regulations.
• Conduct site assessments and monitor hazardous material levels using field instruments.
